152 Elizabeth Street
Aria Glass delivered a custom architectural glazing package for a private residence within 152 Elizabeth Street, a home defined by its minimalist detailing and disciplined material palette. The project required precise integration of glass assemblies within recessed stone conditions, flush millwork transitions, and concealed structural elements to maintain the residence’s quiet, uninterrupted design intent.
In the primary and secondary baths, Aria Glass fabricated and installed ½" Starphire low-iron tempered glass panels configured as full-height, frameless, hinged assemblies. These enclosures used CRL Geneva hinges in a brushed stainless finish, paired with recessed U-channels, custom through-glass towel bars, clear bottom sweeps, and polished edges. Each component was coordinated to align exactly with the surrounding stone and millwork, creating clean vertical lines and controlled tolerances that reinforce the home’s restrained architectural language.
At the main bath entry, Aria Glass installed the residence’s only sliding assembly: a full-height pocket door operating on a HAWA-Junior concealed track system. The panel recesses completely into the adjacent wall, supported by a custom satin-finish latch and a minimal overlap detail that eliminates visible hardware. This installation required close coordination with the ceiling and wall framing to maintain flush transitions and preserve the visual quiet of the interior.
The library enclosure carries the same language established in the residence’s shower doors and bath enclosures, using a full-height fixed panel and a hinged door on CRL Geneva-style hardware. Though serving a different function, it follows the same low-iron glass and brushed stainless detailing, keeping the hardware and proportions consistent across the home.
Stainless steel hinges, sweeps, guides, and custom towel bars were selected throughout for durability and minimal visual presence, allowing each installation to integrate cleanly with surrounding finishes. Together, these elements create a cohesive glazing package that supports the residence’s calm, refined architectural character.
