College Point Residence
Aria Glass completed a residential glazing package for a private home in College Point, NY, combining elements typical of our glass railing and custom shower enclosure work. The main feature of the installation is a multi-level interior railing system fabricated from ½" Starphire tempered glass panels mounted on polished metal standoffs. The railing extends along the open staircase and transitions cleanly into the upper landing, where a natural wood top rail and metal clamp assembly complete the guardrail.
In addition to the railing system, Aria Glass provided a frameless shower enclosure as part of the home’s bathroom renovation. The enclosure consists of a ½" tempered glass swing door and fixed panel, installed with polished edges and minimal hardware to align precisely with the room’s tile layout. Both installations were measured and fabricated to accommodate the residence’s existing structural and finish conditions, reflecting the same level of detailing found across our broader residential glass solutions.
The completed railing introduces a clear, unobstructed connection between the home’s levels, while the Starphire glass maintains consistent color clarity throughout the space. The wood top rail and metal standoffs reinforce the architectural lines of the staircase, supporting a clean and durable assembly. In the bathroom, the frameless shower enclosure delivers a simple, restrained glass element that integrates seamlessly with surrounding stone and millwork. Together, the railing and shower enclosure form a cohesive set of residential glass installations built around precision, longevity, and material consistency.
