As part of a broader architectural upgrade across Montefiore Health System, Aria Glass was commissioned to deliver a comprehensive glazing package spanning several active healthcare campuses. The scope called for custom-fabricated glass systems that not only enhanced the built environment visually but also supported the operational demands of a leading medical institution. Working in both exterior and interior capacities, our team was tasked with elevating entrances, patient-facing areas, and administrative zones through the precise integration of architectural glass.
The centerpiece of the project was the design, fabrication, and installation of a custom structural glass canopy, a focal element that redefines the primary entry with clarity and elegance. Engineered to provide full weather protection while maintaining a light architectural presence, the canopy embodies Montefiore’s forward-thinking approach to healthcare design.
Supporting scopes included aluminum-framed storefront systems, ADA-compliant sliding glass doors, stainless steel railing systems, full-height interior glass partitions integrated with custom millwork, and a distinctive blue-backed glass wall for a key conference room. Each system was customized for healthcare performance, code compliance, and aesthetic continuity. Aria Glass worked in close coordination with hospital leadership, facility managers, and design teams to ensure that every phase met technical, regulatory, and schedule requirements without disrupting daily hospital operations.
The final result is a cohesive and high-performing suite of architectural glass installations that reflect Montefiore’s reputation for innovation, excellence, and care. From the moment patients and staff enter beneath the structural glass canopy, they encounter spaces shaped with intentionality. These spaces prioritize safety, transparency, and visual calm.
