We were contracted by Home-R Construction Group to deliver two custom shower enclosures at The Ansonia - a historic, luxury residential building on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Both systems were fabricated using low-iron Starphire® tempered glass and finished with matte black hardware, achieving a modern, clean-lined aesthetic.
The primary bathroom featured a frameless shower enclosure with fixed panels and a swing door. We used ½" polished tempered glass for the stationary panels and ⅜" glass for the operable door, supported by a top header bar and U-channel mounting for structural stability. The swing door was outfitted with 180° glass-to-glass hinges and an 8" back-to-back handle, both in a matte black finish to match the client’s hardware scheme.
In the children’s bathroom, we installed a single sliding glass enclosure made from ⅜" low-iron Starphire® tempered glass, complete with a 2" finger pull hole and matte black framing for a cohesive, durable solution.
